Frequently Asked Questions

  • The museum is open on Saturday from 10 am - 4 pm, and Sunday from 1 pm - 4 pm. We are closed on all federal holidays. During our special events, an entry fee is required to visit the museum. See when our special events are taking place here.

    The Leonis Adobe historic house can only be viewed at select times via a guided tour. View the schedule here.

  • The museum is free to enter! You’re welcome to purchase a membership or leave a donation, but neither are required to visit the museum. It is also free to park in our private lot if you are a museum guest.

  • We have two accessible parking spots in our lot and can make additional space, if needed. Our museum visit is self-guided, and most exhibits are at ground level.

    When you first enter the museum, you are directed through the Plummer House, which is our visitor center. There are stairs to get to the front door, a guide can let you through to the back where there is a ramp.

    We also have a video available for the upstairs portion of the historic Adobe, which is only accessible via stairs. You can watch that video here.

    We have an audio tour available here, which also has a written transcript for those deaf or hard of hearing.

    Please be aware that this is a ranch property, so the ground may be uneven in places. If you have any other questions about visiting the museum feel free to use the form above or give us a call.

  • Our museum is open to the public on the weekends. There is an audio tour you can follow along with or go your own pace. Our guides are onsite to answer questions and point you towards our many exhibits and features.

    We offer guided tours of the historic Leonis Adobe at certain times. The tour is approximately 30 minutes. To view the schedule click here.

    You can view the historic Plummer House, which serves as our visitor center and gift shop. You can also purchase feed there for our goats and sheep or chickens and turkeys.

    Then, you can head out onto the property! View the historic Leonis Adobe, see the barn, windmill, tank house, historic oak, horno, and more.

  • You can book a tour request on this page. Just select the tour you’d like, the date, and hit submit! You will receive a follow-up email to provide more information about your request so that we can properly schedule you.

  • We have special events for each season which are themed to celebrate that time of year. Special events are $8 to enter, members and children under 2 get in for free.

    There are different themed crafts, live music, 1880s rancho activities like roping, laundry, and tortilla making, scavenger hunts, and more! You get to explore the grounds at your own pace, and each event is different so you can visit them all.

  • At this time, we are unable to host events and gatherings outside of museum special events. You can request to book a photo shoot with the contact form above, and feel free to reach out with any other requests.

  • Unfortunately, the Calabasas Creek Park is closed for maintenance. We do not have a reopening date at this time. Learn more about the Calabasas Creek Park here.

  • This program unites many historical and cultural venues in Central & Southern California, introducing visitors to the wealth of historical places, artifacts and stories in California. It also encourages patrons to explore and build on the connection between each location.
