60th Anniversary Celebration
We are commemorating a very special milestone—our 60th anniversary of being open as Los Angeles’ first Historic-Cultural Monument! To mark this occasion, we are hosting a celebratory ticketed event on Saturday, September 26th from 5:30 PM - 10:00 PM to honor our past and inspire future generations with a silent auction, live music, mouth-watering BBQ, and more.
As Los Angeles Historic-Cultural Monument #1, we strive to share the rich and culturally diverse history of California through our historic adobe structure and the fascinating story of the Leonis family. We are proud stewards of the two historic houses on our grounds, along with the legacy of its original occupants.
60 YEARS OF HISTORYWe educate thousands of students each year with our award-winning school tours. We have been honored to serve local schools with hands-on and engaging experiences that intertwine with the California curriculum. With visits that are remembered into adulthood, we are touched to be a part of early education.

We strive to provide fun and educational events throughout the calendar year, celebrating the seasons with families and visitors.
60 YEARS OF COMMUNITYOur work as a distinctive living history museum includes maintaining a functioning ranch, of which we care for period-authentic ranch animals here on the grounds. We provide our animals with exceptional care for the duration of their lives, while also demonstrating the historical accuracy of the property.
